外媒看中國(guó)：《虎媽貓爸》震驚BBC|蘭州軌道

Perhaps you're familiar with the super-strict mum who pushes her kids to be the best at school, sport, and music - no matter what the cost. Well, there's another feline in the parenting world: Cat Dad.

人們常常聽說(shuō)有對(duì)子女超級(jí)嚴(yán)格的媽媽，她們要求自己的孩子在學(xué)習(xí)、運(yùn)動(dòng)乃至音樂各個(gè)方面都要出類拔萃——為此不惜一切代價(jià)?，F(xiàn)在，在為人父母的人群中又多了一種新的“女性”化形象：貓爸。

Cat Dad takes a more softly, softly approach to parenting - preferring to be emotionally sensitive, gentle and relaxed about rules and discipline, in the belief that it will make their offspring self-sufficient and independent. The term has been trending on the micro blogging site Sina Weibo because of a hit Chinese television programme, "Tiger Mom Cat Dad". The two lead characters are, as the title suggests, a fierce Tiger Mom and a chilled-out Cat Dad. Their styles collide as they try to raise their young daughter.

貓爸們采取了一種更加溫和可親、溫柔隨和的教育方式——他們對(duì)子女的情緒變化尤為敏感、出手大方、寬于管束，他們相信這樣會(huì)讓孩子擁有自信，學(xué)會(huì)獨(dú)立。這個(gè)概念如今在新浪微博上流行一時(shí)，原因是因?yàn)橐徊慨?dāng)紅中國(guó)電視劇，《虎媽貓爸》。正如片名所示，片中的兩位主角一個(gè)是暴脾氣的虎媽，一個(gè)是淡定的貓爸。在教育小女兒的方式上，他們的教育風(fēng)格常常相互沖突。

While Cat Dad may not be as well known as Tiger Mother, he's actually been around nearly as long. One of the original Cat Dads was Chang Zhitao, a father from Shanghai who went head to head in a debate with Chua shortly after her book was published. Despite having vastly different approaches to parenting, both Chua and Chang had daughters who were accepted into Harvard University.

雖然貓爸可能不像虎媽那么為人所知，但是貓爸的存在時(shí)間幾乎和虎媽一樣久了。貓爸的其中一位原型是常智韜——這位父親和出書不久的“虎媽”蔡美兒在輿論中不爭(zhēng)上下。雖然對(duì)于為父為母之道兩人的做法大庭相徑，蔡美兒和常智韜的女兒都上了哈佛大學(xué)。

And as if the Tiger-Cat fight wasn't enough, there's also another animalistic parenting persona coming from China. Wolf Dad is even stricter than Tiger Mom and is epitomised by Xiao Baiyou, a father who believes that "beating kids is part of their upbringing."

不過好像虎媽貓爸之戰(zhàn)遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不夠，中國(guó)還有另一種獸擬人格家長(zhǎng)的代稱“狼爸”。狼爸比虎媽還嚴(yán)厲，代表人物是蕭百佑，這名父親深信“棒棍底下出孝子”。

"Just as their names suggest, Cat Dad prefers a gentle approach to children's education, while Tiger Mom and Wolf Dad believe that education is a painful process," says Vincent Ni of BBC Chinese. "It's been a long time since Chinese TV aired such a drama that captured the two seemingly conflicting education philosophies so well."

“顧名思義，貓爸更傾向于用溫和的方式教育子女，而虎媽和狼爸則堅(jiān)信玉不琢不成器。”BBC中文臺(tái)記者說(shuō)道，“長(zhǎng)期以來(lái)，中國(guó)總算出了這樣一部電視劇，能夠精準(zhǔn)的把握這兩種似乎相互沖突的教育哲學(xué)之間的戲劇性沖突。”

More than 80m people tuned into "Tiger Mom Cat Dad" and the series finale attracted tens of thousands of comments on Weibo. Some defended Cat Dad: "I think there is too much bullying going on in their household. It's completely disrespectful. " one user commented. Others saw the dad as a weak character who wasn't compatible with his wife: "I think the tiger mother and the cat dad should divorce," one viewer wrote.

超過8千萬(wàn)觀眾收看了《虎媽貓爸》這部電視劇，其結(jié)局在微博上引發(fā)了成千上萬(wàn)的評(píng)論。有些人支持貓爸，“我覺得在他們的家庭里妻管嚴(yán)的情況實(shí)在太多了。貓爸應(yīng)該為此感到羞愧。”一個(gè)網(wǎng)友如此說(shuō)道。也有人認(rèn)為貓爸性格儒弱，配不上他的妻子：“我覺得虎媽和貓爸應(yīng)該離婚，”一個(gè)觀眾這樣評(píng)論道。
